Ecoreal: Change in the Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of Ecoreal Swiss Real Estate Investment Foundation has appointed Christian Felix as its new President; Franziska Bur Bürgin takes over as Vice President.

The Board of Trustees of Ecoreal Swiss Real Estate Investment Foundation (EAST) appointed Christian Felix as its new Chairman at its inaugural meeting on December 21, 2022. He succeeds Jürg Häusler, who resigned from the Foundation Board as planned at the Investors' Meeting. Attorney-at-law Christian Felix, a member of the Foundation Board since 2019 and most recently Vice Chairman, is a partner and member of the Group Executive Board of Amstein + Walthert Holding AG.
The vice presidency will be taken over by Franziska Bur Bürgin. She has been a member of the Foundation Board since 2021 and served on the committee for the reorganization of EAST. Bur Bürgin, a lawyer and certified tax expert, is the owner of Basel Legal GmbH, a Basel law firm specializing in occupational pension law and tax law.
New members of the Investment Commission
According to EAST, the Board of Trustees has also appointed new members to the Investment Commission as of January 1, 2023. The decision-making and advisory body now includes Giorgio Engeli, Head of Real Estate Asset and Portfolio Management at Swiss Life Asset Management AG since 2014, Daniel Thoma, co-founder, partner and CEO of Primus Property AG since 2022, and Raymond Rüttimann, partner and co-owner of the real estate service provider R2 Partners AG since completing his career at Credit Suisse (Global Head Real Estate in Asset Management, Head of Development and Construction in Real Estate Investment Management and Head of Real Estate Switzerland). Rüttimann was elected Chairman of the Investment Commission by the Board of Trustees.
In the course of EAST's reorganization project, it was decided in recent months to transfer the management of the company to the Investment Foundation as of January 1, 2023. The head of the new team is Managing Director Peer Kocur.
Successful fiscal year 2022
With its two investment groups Suisseselect and Suissecore Plus, EAST currently manages investment assets of over CHF 1.9 billion. The Board of Trustees is satisfied with the performance in the 2022 financial year: The investment group Suissecore plus had recorded an investment return of 9.68 percent, of which a considerable part was due to the realized appreciation gains in development projects; Suisseselect had closed with 6.31 percent.
