Fredy Hasenmaile has worked for Credit Suisse for over 20 years, and has held the position of Head Real Estate Economics since January 2006. According to the bank, Hasenmaile will take up a new challenge "outside Credit Suisse".

Thomas Rieder (born 1981) will be the new Head of Real Estate Analysis Switzerland as of May 1. He will report to Sara Carnazzi Weber, who heads the Switzerland-focused economist teams within Investment Solutions & Sustainability.

Rieder has worked in the research department of Credit Suisse since 2006. He has played a key role in shaping the Swiss Real Estate Economics unit and has so far been involved, among other things, in analyzing the residential property and mortgage market and in the economic assessment of major construction projects. Rieder has been a member of the Canton of Zurich Land Price Models Expert Group since 2021 and teaches real estate economics at Swiss universities as a guest lecturer.

"I am delighted that we are able to announce an internal succession solution in Thomas Rieder to lead Swiss Real Estate Analysis," said Nannette Hechler-Fayd'herbe, Head of Global Economics & Research at Credit Suisse. "With his long track record at Credit Suisse, he is ideally positioned to follow in the big footsteps of his predecessor." (ah)
