CSL Real Estate: Dual leadership succeeds Yonas Mulugeta

Renato Piffaretti and Thomas Walter are taking over from Yonas Mulugeta as Co-CEOs of the real estate service provider CSL.

The real estate service provider CSL Immobilien will be managed by a duo in future: Renato Piffaretti and Thomas Walter have been appointed Co-CEOs. Together with the existing management team, the new management duo will expand the current services throughout Switzerland and consistently develop them further with regard to customer orientation, digitalization and sustainability, CSL Immobilien announced. New business areas will also be developed.

Renato Piffaretti will take up his post on October 1. He was most recently Head of Real Estate Switzerland at Swiss Life Asset Management and previously worked as Head of Real Estate at Baloise and UBS, where he was active in fund management, among other things.

Thomas Walter will join CSL from 1 March 2024 at the latest and will then focus on the areas of property management and digitalization, according to the real estate service provider. He has been CEO of F.G. Pfister Immobilien AG since the beginning of 2021. Prior to that, he worked for Verit Immobilien for many years, including leading the company as CEO from 2016 to 2020.

Dual leadership to lead CSL into a new growth phase

The decision to appoint a dual leadership team was made because the company is convinced that the complementary skills and experience of Renato Piffaretti and Thomas Walter will lead CSL Immobilien into the next phase of growth, the company writes in the press release.

The long-standing CEO Yonas Mulugeta had already announced his departure in March of this yearHe will step down at the end of September. Chairman of the Board of Directors Markus Schawalder emphasized Mulugeta's many years of tireless commitment to CSL Immobilien: "He has done an outstanding job in close cooperation with the management. I wish Yonas Mulugeta all the best for the future." (ah)
