Helvetica reorganizes its management team
Helvetica appoints Urs Kunz as the new Head of Sales at SFP and announces further personnel changes. The company is talking about a realignment for a phase of consolidation.
Urs Kunz will take up the position of CCO and Head Sales & Marketing at fund and asset manager Helvetica in January. He will replace Salman Baday in this role, who has decided to move on after six years, according to a press release. Lucas Schlageter, Head Portfolio Management, has also decided to "leave Helvetica after more than four intensive and committed years". The new Executive Board consists of Hans R. Holdener, Peter R. Vogel and Urs Kunz. The appointment of a new Head of Portfolio Management is imminent and will be communicated "in due course".
"The management team will be streamlined and in some cases newly appointed, while the portfolio will be optimized and the value chain streamlined through the management of the company and the integration of property management will be expanded," the company writes. In recent weeks, Helvetica had already announced that the merger of two funds and the sale of properties were planned (IB reported, among other things here and here). "After an intensive growth phase and in the context of new market dynamics, Helvetica is focusing more strongly on consolidation, portfolio optimization and risk management," the statement now reads. An "even stronger focus on the needs of investors and thus on lean and efficient processes as well as a high degree of digitalization" will also be implemented. The planned listing of the Helvetica Swiss Living Fund (HSL Fund) by the end of 2024 at the latest will be maintained.
New Head of Legal and Marketing
According to Helvetiva, the processes that have been initiated go hand in hand with an adjustment in personnel management. With Thomas Stadelmann, Helvetica has appointed an experienced Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance as of the beginning of September 2023, and Patricia Neupert will take over the role of Head of Marketing and Communication from October. At Group level, Michel Hafner has also joined as Head of Property Management, who will manage the integration of property management as an additional element of the value chain. Andreas Benz has been responsible for Business Development since the beginning of the year.
"The consistent focus on a new market situation gives us the opportunity to further develop Helvetica with new forces and new ideas, says Ueli Keller, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Helvetica. "I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the great commitment of Salman Baday and Lucas Schlageter over the last few years," says Hans R. Holdener, CEO of Helvetica.
SFP seeks successor for Kunz
According to a statement from Swiss Finance & Property AG, Kunz will be leaving the company at the end of September. He has worked for the real estate company for over six years. Mauro Golinelli, who has worked as Client Relationship Manager at SFP AG for over ten years, will take over his role on an interim basis. SFP will announce his permanent successor at a later date. "Urs Kunz worked successfully for SFP AG as Head of Client Relationship Management & Marketing and, among other things, opened the SFP branch in Germany," Nicolas Di Maggio, CEO of Swiss Finance & Property AG, is quoted as saying in a statement.
