Assetimmo strengthens Foundation Board and appoints Head of AM

At the Assetimmo investors' meeting on June 19 in Basel, Marcel Weiler and Pascal Woerlen were elected to the Board of Trustees of the real estate investment foundation as investor representatives. They join the eight-member board with immediate effect. Weiler has been Head of Real Estate Management at TX Group since April 2023. Prior to that, he was a transaction and portfolio manager at various companies as well as a real estate valuer and consultant. He started his career as an architect. In addition to a bachelor's degree in architecture, Weiler holds an MAS in Real Estate Management and is a CFA charterholder. Woerlen is Head of Institutional Client Relations at Pictet Asset Management. Previously, he was Senior Alternative Investments Specialist for Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate. He started his career as a portfolio manager. Woerlen holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the Geneva Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva. He is also a CFA charterholder. "With Marcel Weiler and Pascal Woerlen, we have been able to recruit two experienced and qualified real estate experts for our Board of Trustees," says Dominik Weber, Chairman of the Assetimmo Board of Trustees.

Tommaso Maturo came from Hiag in 2023

Assetimmo also announces that the position of Head of Asset Management has been created and filled by Tommaso Maturo as of July 1. He has been with Assetimmo since June last year and in his new role will further strengthen asset management - "one of Assetimmo's core competencies". He reports to Sylke Wich-Glasen, Head of Portfolio and Asset Management. Maturo, a qualified real estate trustee, was previously asset manager at Hiag for one and a half years and previously worked in real estate management for 18 years, including almost twelve years at Plazza AG. He is a federally certified real estate manager and holds a degree in business administration (HF). (aw)
