Dr. Meyer: Management buy-out at Bern-based service provider
The management takes over the majority of shares in one of the major real estate managers in Berne.

Dr. Max Meyer, the previous sole owner of Dr. Meyer Immobilien AG, has sold two thirds of his share package to four members of the management. The new owners are Managing Director Marc Balsiger, Antonio Quarta (Head of Finance), Danièle Gottier (Head of Portfolio Management) and Philipp Aeberhard (Head of Property Management and Deputy Managing Director).
Dr. Meyer Immobilien employs almost 100 people, manages 11,000 apartments and has a contractual relationship with around 20,000 tenants. In addition to the traditional property management business, Dr. Meyer offers services in the areas of sales, marketing, development, construction and portfolio management.
Changes in the VR
The Board of Directors is also being reconstituted. Balsiger takes over as Chairman; Gottier, Christoph Hugi and the previous Chairman of the Board of Directors Peter Schmid remain on the Board. Quarta and Aeberhard join as new members. Ulrich Büschlen steps down.
The company was founded in the 1940s by Ludwig Meyer, the father of the current company owner. (aw)
