On August 1, Salomé Mall (37) took over as Head of Development at SBB Real Estate. The former "Head of Investment Properties Development Central" will also join the Management Board of SBB Real Estate. In her new role, she will be responsible for the project management of all major SBB real estate projects.

Mall takes over from Armin Vonwil, who was interim Head of Development and has moved to become Head of Property Management at SBB Real Estate. The position of Head of Development became vacant at the end of April when Susanne Zenker left the company to become President of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA).

Before her appointment as the new Head of Development, Mall was responsible for upgrading several train stations and their surroundings for two and a half years in consultation with the local population, administration and politicians. The goals were, for example, better rail access, more quality at the station and more residential, service and retail space. Prior to this, she was responsible for the Smart City division at SBB Real Estate and before that worked as Head of the Mobility and Outdoor Space department in the municipality of Reinach (BL) and as Head of Urban Development and Mobility in the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Mall is a landscape and spatial planning engineer and urban planner. She has a Master's degree in Political Sciences and various further training courses in management. (aw)
