KM&P becomes Julius Baer Real Estate and gets a new boss
The real estate service provider Kuoni Mueller & Partner will be fully integrated three years after the majority takeover by Julius Baer. Thomas Hodel joins from CBRE to lead the newly formed subsidiary.
Julius Baer announces that its subsidiary and real estate services provider Kuoni Mueller & Partner Ltd. (KM&P) has been renamed Julius Baer Real Estate Ltd. as of the beginning of September. At the same time, the Group has acquired all outstanding minority interests in the subsidiary acquired in October 2021. Thomas Hodel will be the new Managing Director from February. "In this role, he will take over the management of the company and further expand its position as one of the leading providers of real estate services in Switzerland," writes Julius Baer. Hodel has many years of experience in the transaction sector and in leading positions in the real estate brokerage business. Hodel currently works for CBRE Switzerland as a director in the investment division, where he is responsible for retail and office real estate.
Dominik Weber, who has led KM&P for many years as Managing Director and former majority shareholder, will remain on the Board of Directors and as an advisor to Julius Baer Real Estate after the handover to Hodel, according to the press release. "With his extensive experience in the real estate sector, Dominik Weber will continue to help shape the development of the company and remain active in client acquisition and mandate management", the statement continues.
Almost three years ago, Julius Baer acquired 83% from Zurich-based real estate services provider KM&P. The newly formed real estate subsidiary will continue to offer brokerage services for investment properties and owner-occupied residential real estate as well as real estate valuations - both for the Group and for third parties. The locations are Zurich and Geneva. (aw)
