Cargo sous terrain with new CEO
The logistics system has been managed by infrastructure manager and civil engineer Christian Späth since October.

Infrastructure manager and civil engineer Christian Späth has been CEO of the Cargo sous terrain (CST) logistics system since the beginning of October. Späth has more than 25 years of international professional experience in the civil engineering sector, including 15 years in management positions. He joined construction and real estate services provider Implenia in 2012 and was Head Civil Engineering and a member of the Implenia Executive Committee until the end of August 2024. Since the end of June 2024, the CST team has been working on a project review based on newly defined priorities and requirements that emerged from the sectoral plan consultation, Cargo sous terrain reports. Christian Späth will continue this work and consistently focus the project on the needs of customers, sustainability and the requirements of cities, municipalities and cantons. The interim CEO Stefan Schraner will take on the role of CFO. The innovative power of the "generation project" Cargo sous terrain fascinates him, said Christian Späth when he took office: "I am convinced that CST is the right answer to the challenges facing Swiss freight transport."
