Michael Loose will become Local Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in French-speaking Switzerland on January 1. He succeeds Emanuel von Graffenried, Managing Partner BN Conseils at Groupe Bernard Nicod.

Loose is a trained banker and architect and has worked on four different accounts during his 25-year career in the real estate industry. He has worked for ESO in Chile, Siemens Real Estate in China and UBS Real Estate Europe, among others. He was also responsible for the Swiss railroad station portfolio at SBB Real Estate and was Managing Director at Coldwell Banker and Prime Living in Kenya. For the last two and a half years, Loose has been CEO of the fund management company Investissement Fonciers SA.

Reimer Siegert, Global Head Investment & Managing Director Implenia Deutschland GmbH and Chair of the ULI in Switzerland, thanks the previous incumbent Emanuel von Grafenried. "His strategic leadership was a key factor in numerous institutional successes and sustainable developments in the region." He says of his successor Michael Loose: "With his extensive expertise, he is excellently qualified to further develop the ULI in French-speaking Switzerland." Loose's goal is "to future-proof the Arc Lémanique metropolitan region by making it more sustainable and resilient in order to meet current requirements." (aw)
