The constant repetition of terms such as ESG and climate change has already led to "sustainability fatigue" among some in the real estate industry. Despite government subsidies for renewable energies, economic pressure remains high and the complexity of the energy transition often hinders progress towards the energy transition.

Pierre Bi, who sold his company Aeris to iRobot for around 72 million US dollars, thereby strengthening his position in the cleantech industry, took on this challenge in 2023 with enshift AG. Within 18 months, several well-known players have joined forces with an overarching goal: to accelerate the energy transformation in Europe by a factor of 3.

By the end of 2024, enshift plans to design, finance and install 20 MWp of solar power and 10 MW of heating capacity on and in Swiss properties. enshift's focus is on investment property portfolios in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. enshift's end-to-end services are already being used extensively by the Helvetica Property Group, Swiss Post Real Estate and KIRKBI, the company behind LEGO. Nothing now stands in the way of the decarbonization of their large properties.

enshift is thus doing pioneering work and proving that the energy transition and economic success are not only compatible, but also mutually reinforcing. As Bi emphasizes: "With our expertise, we achieve gross return targets and adhere to the decarbonization path without the customer having to incur large CAPEX expenses." Together with our partners, we are shaping a future in which sustainable energy solutions promote economic growth and ecological progress.
