Zurich: Navyboot instead of Franz Carl Weber on Bahnhofstrasse?
The Franz Carl Weber toy store will move from Bahnhofstrasse 62 to Bahnhofplatz in mid-July 2016. According to local media, the building is to be remodeled and reallocated; the developer is Navyboot AG.
The fashion label Navyboot belongs to the Gaydoul Group, which owns the property on Bahnhofstrasse. According to a building application quoted by the media, the entire building is to be remodeled, the internal access adapted and the store fronts moved. It is not known whether Navyboot is planning a store. The company already operates a flagship store at Bahnhofstrasse 69, on the opposite side of the street.
Franz Carl Weber is moving to Bahnhofplatz because its lease expires at the beginning of 2017 and because only a partial area will be available to the company after the planned conversion. (ah)
