Zurich: Porr Suisse builds construction site F in Europaallee
Porr Suisse will act as total contractor for the design and construction of construction site F in Europaallee in Zurich for SBB Immobilien. The contract value is CHF 155 million.
Last year, Porr was already entrusted with the realization of construction fields B and D, meaning that three of the eight construction fields will be realized by the construction company.
Work on construction field F will start in April 2016, with turnkey handover scheduled for March 2019.
Building area F comprises a gross floor area of around 47,000 sqm and a leasable area of 39,000 sqm. The basis is a project by Boltshauser Architekten, whose design emerged as the winner of a two-stage architectural competition. In addition to a free-standing, 50-meter-high tower with 16 stories, a second structure is being built with a four-story base building and two residential towers above it with six and ten stories, respectively, and heights of 34 and 43 meters.
The 172 rental apartments account for 28,000 sqm, with a further 2,000 sqm earmarked for retail and gastronomy, plus 9,000 sqm for services. The buildings meet the requirements for the DGNB Gold sustainability label. (ah)
