Mobimo starts marketing the Grob site in Horgen
A commercial and service center is to be built on the Grob site near the train station in Horgen by 2018. According to local media reports, the owner, Mobimo AG, is now starting to market the space.
The vacant, 130 m long, 24 m wide and two to five-storey wing of the building is to be renovated and redesigned. Partition walls will be installed between the rental areas. The building application is due to be submitted at the beginning of May, with the interior work starting at the end of 2016.
Mobimo's utilization concept envisages a commercial and service center with 15,000 sqm of usable space. The aim is to have a tenant mix of small and medium-sized businesses. In addition to offices, studios and galleries, companies from the fields of health, leisure, culture and exercise are also to set up shop. A sports store, fashion stores and a supermarket are also planned, as well as a public meeting zone and restaurants on the first floor.
Rents are expected to be between CHF 100 and CHF 230/sqm/year, depending on location and use. According to Mobimo's calculations, the old factory has potential for up to 1,000 jobs. (ah)
