Hyatt fleshes out plans for "The Circle"
The Hyatt hotel group has now specified its plans for the two hotels as part of "The Circle" at Zurich Airport. A Hyatt Regency brand hotel and a Hyatt Place brand hotel with a total of 550 rooms and a convention center with space for up to 2,300 are due to open at the end of 2019.
The Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport will have 250 rooms (including 17 suites), various dining options and a fitness center. The hotel's own conference and event facilities cover a total area of 4,390 square meters, consisting of a convention hall of 1,580 square meters for a maximum of 1,500 people, foyers and 15 other conference rooms.
The Hyatt Place Zurich Airport will include a further 300 rooms, a restaurant and bar as well as a fitness center.
In addition to the hotels and the Convention Center, the large-scale project "The Circle" also combines a retail area, a medical center of the University Hospital Zurich, office space and other offers from the fields of art, culture, gastronomy, entertainment and education on 180,000 sqm of usable space. The Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto is responsible for the architecture. The investors are Zurich Airport and Swiss Life. (ah)
