ASIG Wohngenossenschaft, the building owner, has commissioned Implenia as total contractor to implement the replacement construction project for the "Am Glattbogen" housing estate in Zurich North for around CHF 80 million. The first stage of the project will see the construction of 229 new residential units in the eastern part of the Glattbogen instead of the existing 115.

The focus is on the creation of affordable and sustainable living space while at the same time densifying the neighborhood. In addition to rental apartments, a double kindergarten and a large community room are integrated into the new building. Construction of the project by pool Architekten in Zurich is scheduled to start in summer 2016, with a planned move-in date of the end of 2019.

Implenia is building the new "Gümligenfeld" commercial and leisure center in Gümligen, with retail space, restaurants, a bowling alley, office space and ten movie theaters. Implenia had developed the project and is now realizing the CHF 38 million project as a total contractor on behalf of the client UBS Fund Management (Switzerland) AG. Excavation work is currently underway. Completion and inauguration of the project is scheduled for spring 2018. (ah)
