Hinwil: New logistics center under construction
Möbel Ferrari AG is building a 12,000 sqm logistics center in Hinwil (ZH), half of which will be leased to third parties. The groundbreaking ceremony for the twelve million CHF project in the "Wässeri" industrial area was held a few days ago.
As owner René Ferrari says, a logistics center could have been realized far more cheaply in Germany, which is close to the border, but the company wanted to offer customers the furniture and interior design with the shortest possible delivery times. The Ferrari furniture store is only about 200 meters away from the new logistics center.
With the five-story logistics building, Möbel Ferrari is increasing its warehouse capacity by 50 percent. The company intends to use around half of the space itself, while the remaining space will be sublet to third parties. Completion is scheduled for October 2017. (ah)
