Lululemon opens first store in Switzerland
The first Swiss store of Canadian yoga-inspired sportswear company Lululemon Athletica launched in Zurich's Old Town on Friday. The combination of store and community space is located at Marktgasse 12.
The new Lululemeon store offers a range of yoga and sportswear for men and women, as well as free yoga and other workout sessions. The 427-square-meter store is the eighth in Europe and marks the Swiss market entry of the Vancouver-rooted Canadian brand.
Each Lululemon store around the world has its own individual store interior. The Zurich store is inspired by the Swiss countryside and the city on the Limmat River, and focuses on materials such as Krion and copper. In homage to Zurich's many drinking fountains, the two-story store in the historic Old Town building also houses two in-house water fountains. (mr)
