Mettler2Invest can build in Spreitenbach
At the end of July, the Spreitenbach municipal council gave Mettler2Invest the green light for the "Sandäcker" project. The building permit for the development with multiplex cinema, municipal hall as well as residential and commercial areas was granted.
Mettler2Invest is planning a multiplex cinema with ten screens and 2,000 seats next to Shoppi Tivoli and Ikea. The project also includes 200 rental apartments (including apartments for the elderly) as well as catering and service areas. The cinema's largest auditorium will be multifunctional: it can be converted into a town hall with a stage, and its foyer can also be used for exhibitions.
The project consists of a high-rise building in the north with 16 floors and a seven-story longitudinal building along Sandäckerstrasse and Landstrasse. The development was designed by Holzer Kobler Architekturen.
The site is currently served by bus lines, and the Limmattal streetcar will stop 100 meters away from the site from around 2019. The "Sandäcker" development should then also be ready for occupancy. (ah)
