Horgen: Mobimo "Seehallen" project makes progress
Mobimo is planning a service and commercial center in Horgen in the former Grob factory, the "Seehallen Horgen". The corresponding tender is currently open at the building authority in Horgen, and the building permit should be issued in a few weeks.

The two- to five-story former factory at Seestrasse 83-95 next to the Horgen-See train station has been owned by the real estate company since 2005. After plans for a classic car center with a hotel fell through, Mobimo now wants to house stores, restaurants, practices and offices in the 130-meter-long and 24-meter-wide building. As a Mobimo spokeswoman told the Zürichsee-Zeitung, there are already prospective tenants from various sectors.
According to the invitation to tender, the project "Conversion and renovation of the commercial building" will involve the removal or demolition of walls in the factory building and the renovation of the toilets, lifts and stairs, as well as structural engineering measures. A parking garage with 30 spaces is planned. In addition, the roof is to be greened.
According to the Horgen building authority, a number of decisions on building rights have been requested for the project, according to the Zürichsee-Zeitung. Thus, there is the possibility to appeal against the building permit, which the Horgen municipal council intends to grant in a few weeks. (ah)
