Zurich: Start of construction for Intershop project
Intershop has started construction of the "eden7" condominium project, the final stage on the "Giesshübelareal" site in Zurich.
At Staffelstrasse 13 in Zurich-Wiedikon, 17 city apartments are being built with areas ranging from 54 to 131 square meters, unconventional floor plans and a high standard of finish. Three studios are planned for commercial use on the first floor.
With "eden7", Intershop is completing the repositioning of the site, which was formerly used purely for commercial and industrial purposes, into a residential quarter with around 160 apartments in the south of Zurich, which was started last decade. Completion of the construction work is scheduled for 2018. Sales of the floor units in Minergie standard have already started, and according to Intershop, twelve reservations have already been made.
As of the end of June 2016, the portfolio of the listed Intershop comprised 59 properties with a leasable area of 584,000 sqm and a market value of around CHF 1.3 billion. Intershop invests primarily in the Zurich economic area, in the Lake Geneva region and along the main transport axes. (ah)
