SV Hotel and Mobimo bring Moxy Hotel to Switzerland
Moxy Hotel is coming to Switzerland: The first property of the Marriott brand is scheduled to open in Lausanne's Flon district in fall 2019.
The Moxy Hotel in Lausanne will offer a total of 110 rooms on a good 3,500 square meters. It is being built in the middle of Lausanne's Flon district, on Rue de la Vigie. The district is mostly car-free, covers 55,000 sqm and offers many stores and a wide range of leisure, cultural and gastronomic activities.
SV Hotel and Mobimo as owner of the Flon are jointly realizing the hotel project. "We are very pleased that Marriott has decided to open the first Swiss Moxy hotel in Lausanne. This is a confirmation of our vision and a great addition to the neighborhood," says Marc Pointet, Head of Western Switzerland and member of Mobimo's Executive Committee. The Flon district is considered an attractive location for innovative concepts: The Italian delicatessen concept Eataly also plans to open its first store on Swiss soil here.
Moxy is a brand of the US hotel group Marriott and is aimed at young guests who value modern style and good value for money. SV Hotel is a Marriott franchisee and operates five hotels under the Courtyard, Residence Inn and Renaissance brands in Switzerland and Germany. In addition, six new hotel projects are planned in major German cities, including four Moxy hotels.
