Credit Suisse Investment Foundation Real Estate has owned Spenglerpark in Münchenstein (BL) since 2006. In structural terms, this business park marks the southern end of the Dreispitz site and thus borders on the city of Basel. Now the area is to be optimized, and CS is planning a residential and commercial high-rise for this purpose.

The tower, designed by Studio Harry Gugger, will be 100 meters high on a footprint of 900 square meters. It is being built on the northwest corner of the property and is to be connected to the existing building complex. The high-rise plans were developed after an architectural competition in 2012, in the context of which, among other things, post-densification variants were examined.

On the basis of the project, a neighborhood plan is now drawn up, which goes through the usual planning procedure (participation, decision by the municipal assembly, plan circulation). A building application will then be prepared and published. According to the municipality of Münchenstein, the neighborhood plan process is expected to take two to three years.
