Study contract for "Centrum Seetalplatz" is decided
The Lucerne-based architectural firm Lussi + Partner has won the study contract for the "Centrum Seetalplatz" in Emmenbrücke with its "Metropolis" project. A mixed-use development is planned.
The real estate company Alfred Müller AG has carried out the study contract for the "Centrum Seetalplatz" on behalf of Credit Suisse 1a Immo PK and Viscosuisse Immobilien AG. The Lucerne-based architectural firm Lussi + Partner emerged as the winner with its "Metropolis" project.
Three new buildings and extensions are to be constructed on the site around the current Maxx cinema in the Emmer district of Emmenbrücke. On a total floor space of around 30,000 square meters, stores, offices, six movie theaters with a spacious foyer and gastronomic offerings, and around 170 apartments are planned.
The "Centrum Seetalplatz" is located in the development focus of Lucerne North, where a new city center is to be created in the next few years. In the opinion of the jury, the "Metropolis" project by Lussi + Partner builds on the Viscose area and forms a striking prelude to the new district at Seetalplatz.
The planning basis for the construction project is the "Bebauungsplan Seetalplatz Nord", which is pending approval by the Canton of Lucerne. As soon as this has been approved, the two developers, Viscosuisse Immobilien AG and the real estate fund CS 1a Immo PK, want to work out the project together with the architects and submit the building application.
