Lucerne: Blue Tomato opens in the old town
Snowboard and lifestyle chain Blue Tomato is opening a store in Lucerne's Old Town this summer, several local media outlets report.
How among other things central+ Blue Tomato will move into a three-story store at Kornmarkt 7.
The Austrian chain operates 29 stores in Germany and Austria. Last fall, the first Swiss branch was opened in Zurich. At the time, the company said it was planning further locations in Switzerland. As can be seen on the company's website, a branch in Bern is also planned in addition to Zurich and Lucerne.
A spokeswoman for Blue Tomato told central+ on the opening in Lucerne that the company already had many online customers in the region, which was a good prerequisite for the store. The numerous ski resorts in the vicinity were also a reason for choosing Lucerne as the second Swiss location.
The chain sells snowboard, freeski, skate and surf products, as well as accessories, clothing and lifestyle products.
