Apleona becomes property manager of the Ambassador House
Apleona GVA, formerly Bilfinger Real Estate, has been awarded the property management contract for Ambassador House in Zurich.

Formerly used in parts as a hotel, Ambassador House has been undergoing revitalization since the end of 2014 and is expected to open at the end of this year as a commercial building with 46,000 sqm of office and retail space. According to Apleona, it has the largest contiguous floor area in Switzerland.
The owners of the property are Balintra AG, Basel, the real estate company Immosip AG, Zurich, and Interswiss Immobilien AG, Zug.
As part of the revitalization, the Ambassador House is being completely gutted and converted according to plans by Stücheli Architekten, Zurich. Future tenants will have access to open-plan offices with around 7,000 square meters of contiguous floor space, as well as a conference center, a restaurant and more than 1,100 parking spaces in the building's own underground garage.
LEED certification planned
In the course of the work, the roof, the building facade and the entire building services including air conditioning and ventilation systems will also be renewed. After completion of the revitalization, certification in accordance with LEED guidelines is planned; the aim is to achieve the LEED Platinum rating.
