Rorschach: Ground-breaking ceremony for "Löwengarten Quarter
The groundbreaking ceremony for a new mixed-use neighborhood was held in Rorschach (SG). Investors are Uze AG, based in Uzwil, and Rosenberg Invest AG from Wil.

On the former Löwengarten site on the outskirts of Rorschach, the mixed-use development "Löwengarten Quartier" will be built by summer/fall 2019. Construction work has now officially begun with the groundbreaking ceremony on May 18, 2017.
The project comprises residential, office, retail and gastronomy: A total of 89 2.5-, 3.5- and 4.5-room apartments with large, covered balconies and loggias are being built - some with lake views or private gardens. On the mezzanine and first floor along St. Gallerstrasse, 1,850 square meters of office and commercial space are available.
Supermarkets and various smaller stores will be housed in an area of around 2,770 square meters, and a restaurant with an outdoor terrace will be set up in the former bottling plant of the Löwengarten brewery. The superstructure is grouped around a landscaped courtyard with plants, trees and a playground.
The two investors, Uze and Rosenberg Investment, say they have been investing in sustainable residential and commercial construction projects for more than 120 years.
