Chur: Inventx plans new building at the old forester's yard
The IT company Inventx wants to build a residential and commercial building on the site of the old forester's yard in Chur. The concept envisages offices, gastronomy, culture and apartments.
Inventx plans to relocate its headquarters to the planned new building, which bears the project name "Mehrwerk". The new building will create space for more than 200 workplaces and also offer space for gastronomy, culture and a childcare center, the IT company says. Eleven residential units are also planned. Inventx says it will invest more than CHF 30 million in the project.
On the "Alter Forstwerkhof" site, up to 200 workplaces with innovative office space concepts will be created on a plot area of 2,387 sqm. For example, the entrance area will be designed multifunctionally so that it can be transformed from a co-working zone to a meeting room or a concert and ballroom at short notice, Inventx informs.
The office space will be supplemented by a sports and catering area as well as a crèche, which will also be open to the public. The third and top floors of the L-shaped building will contain 2.5- to 5-room apartments. An underground parking garage will provide space for nearly 50 passenger vehicles.
On May 21, the people of Chur gave the green light for the project: they approved the transfer of the land in building rights to Inventx Immobilien AG with 7,598 votes in favor to 1,383 against. Gregor Stücheli, co-founder and managing director of the company, expressed his confidence that the groundbreaking ceremony would follow as soon as possible after the vote.
