Halter wants to build in Hirzel

Halter AG wants to realize a development with 50 condominiums in the village center of Hirzel (ZH). The architectural competition has now been decided.

As part of the architectural competition, seven offices were invited to present their ideas for the topographically challenging plot south of the Heerenrainli school building in Hirzel. The project by Edelaar Mosayebi Inderbitzin Architekten from Zurich emerged as the winner of the competition.

The planned 50 or so condominiums with 3.5, 4.5 or 5.5 rooms are primarily aimed at families, according to a Halter AG statement. However, "silver agers" who would like to move from a single-family house to a condominium within the community are also being addressed. In the immediate vicinity of the development is the old village center of Hirzel with shopping facilities and the school environment with play and sports infrastructure.

A design plan procedure is now being carried out for the area, Halter says. The electorate is expected to vote on the project at the municipal assembly in mid-2018. If the decision is positive, the building permit process can then be initiated. Construction is scheduled to start in mid-2019.
