Pfäffikon: Replacement of office building at Seedamm-Center
The aging office building located on the site of the Seedamm Center in Pfäffikon (SZ) is to be demolished and replaced by a new building.
The Seedamm-Center in Pfäffikon (SZ) claims to be the largest shopping center on the upper part of Lake Zurich. The center includes an office building, in which the central administration of Charles Vögele Holding AG is currently still rented. How the Höfner Volksblatt first reported, the office building will be empty at the end of the year because Charles Vögele is currently making large-scale job cuts.
The owners of the property, Seedamm Immobilien AG, want to demolish the 4,300-square-meter building, which no longer meets today's requirements, and build a new office building on the site. According to the newspaper report, the new building will be only slightly higher than the current six-story building. According to the report, the new building will be able to accommodate around 250 office workplaces.
The construction project was advertised in the current official gazette and is awaiting approval, he said. Ideally, demolition work could begin in January 2018; the owners expect construction to take two years. The investment volume is reportedly CHF 25 million.
