Winterthur: Starting signal at plant 1
Implenia starts with the concrete implementation of the superstructure on Plant 1 in Winterthur. A total of CHF 100 million will be invested.

Implenia is realizing the first building on Plant 1 in Winterthur together with the Winterthur cooperatives Gesewo and gaiwo and the Adimora investment foundation, which is managed by Pensimo Management. Non-profit space for living and working is being created.
In total, the three developers are investing around CHF 100 million. With the social housing construction, Implenia is fulfilling one of the key components of the design plan. With the signing of the contracts, the foundations have been laid for the first step in the development of the district, says Implenia.
The building permit is expected at the end of the year, and construction is then expected to start in mid-2018. The first residents should be able to move in from 2021.
The entire Werk 1 site development will be realized in accordance with the SIA Energy Efficiency Path (2017 edition), Implenia adds. It will also be the first certified 2000-watt site in Winterthur.
