Horgen: Architectural competition for Realstone project completed
Realstone has completed the architectural competition for its Horgen Oberdorf site development.
As the winner of the study contract, in which eight architectural firms were involved, the project HOMAGE by Galli Rudolf Architekten from Zurich emerged.
The project "most impressively reflects the developer's vision for creating forward-thinking living spaces without losing the identity of the site," according to a Realstone statement. A total of 230 apartments are planned. The HOMAGE project is an urban planning and architecturally rational as well as economically efficient superstructure, Realstone added. The building typologies are simple, user-friendly, modern and differentiated.
The Horgen Oberdorf site will be transformed into a residential and working quarter in stages over the next few years. Realstone had purchased the 62,000 sqm property from Credit Suisse at the end of 2015. The major bank had a design plan drawn up for the area, which Realstone is now implementing. A mixed use of residential, small business and large service companies is planned.
