HIAG completes purchase in Meyrin

HIAG Immobilien Holding has now completed the acquisition of the "Fountain" site in Meyrin (GE) announced in June.

According to HIAG, the transfer of ownership was completed on July 31, after the Canton of Geneva had previously waived its right of first refusal.

The site developer HIAG had Announced in mid-Juneto acquire the 10,400 sqm "Fountain" site with a usable area of around 9,700 sqm. The site is located opposite the Meyrin train station, which will be upgraded over the next two years in connection with the expansion of the CEVA (Léman Express) commuter rail line with a connection to Geneva's main train station.

This is the second site in Meyrin that HIAG is developing. A development project is to be realized there in the next ten years.

In total, HIAG currently owns sites at around 40 locations with a total area of 2.5 million square meters. The Group currently generates property income of around CHF 54.2 million per year and is pushing ahead with around 50 development projects.
