Kriens: Logis Suisse and Steiner develop Andritz site
The non-profit housing company Logis Suisse has acquired the 36,000 sqm Andritz site in Kriens (LU). It is to be developed into a mixed neighborhood.

Logis Suisse plans to build around 450 affordable apartments on the site in the center of Kriens, as well as space for commerce, crafts and culture.
The sellers of the Andritz site are Andritz Hydro AG and Marty AG. The sale was carried out by smeyers in a closed transaction process with a two-stage bidding procedure.
Andritz Hydro and Marty will relocate their industrial production to new, nearby commercial sites over the next five years, but Andritz Hydro's technical offices and administration will remain on the site. For this purpose, space will be rented from Logis Suisse.
Logis Suisse wants to develop the site together with Steiner AG. The housing cooperative says it wants to invite the authorities, regional housing cooperatives, creative people and tradespeople to participate. A study contract is also planned. After the rezoning with a special use plan and the study process have been completed, it is planned to sell part of the use to the Steiner Investment Foundation and to regional non-profit partners.
