The new building at Bankplatz 1 in Weinfelden is connected to TKB's headquarters via a walkway and provides workplaces for around 100 employees. In addition, a large customer area, 20 meeting rooms, an underground parking lot with 20 customer parking spaces and a divisible conference room for 190 people have been created.

The five-story glass cube, which rests on a concrete base and is terminated by a cantilevered parapet roof, was designed by Spühler Partner Architekten from Zurich. HRS Real Estate AG was the general contractor. The construction volume is CHF 30 million.

The new building meets the Minergie-P-Eco standard, to which, according to the planners involved, the façade in particular contributes: Various double-skin façade elements were used, according to Aepli Metallbau, which was commissioned with the façade planning. On the first floor and upper floors, the façade consists of thermally insulated aluminum profiles with triple insulating glass and an outer, movable glass wing. The intermediate space contains a venetian blind as sun protection in a protected position, and the outer glass wing opens automatically as soon as the specified temperatures between the two layers of glass are exceeded.
