Winterthur: Topping-out ceremony for "sue&til
On September 14, construction group Implenia celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the "sue&til" residential and commercial development in Winterthur with Allianz Suisse as investor.

On an area of 17,800 square meters, five- to six-story buildings with a total of over 300 condominiums and rental apartments are being built on a former Sulzer site in Winterthur-Neuhegi. The largest timber housing estate in Switzerland is being built. The first floors of each building will be used for public purposes.
According to Implenia, 18 of the total of 20 buildings have now been erected, and the first houses are nearing completion of the interior fittings. The first apartments should be ready for occupation in December 2017. The other buildings will be occupied in stages until September 2018.
Implenia, as the landowner, developed the project, which emerged from a study commission, in cooperation with the city of Winterthur. The development is being built to the Minergie standard and meets the objectives of the 2,000-watt society (according to SIA Effizienzpfad Energie MB 2040).
