Implenia: Industrial construction contracts in Zug and Sarnen
Construction group Implenia has won two new industrial construction contracts in central Switzerland. The total contractor orders are worth CHF 45 million.
The construction group is building the "Zephyr Hangar Speedy" for V-Zug AG on its premises in Zug. The two-story hall with an area of around 3,600 square meters is intended for the installation of two servo transfer presses. These will be used for the production of a new line of household appliances. In the first phase, Implenia was responsible for the general planning; in the second phase, the construction group will assume its role as general contractor. According to the schedule, the hangar is to be handed over to V-Zug at the beginning of summer 2019.
Implenia is building another production facility in Sarnen (OW). As a general contractor, the construction group is building a five-story factory building with offices and a parking garage for Leister AG. Implenia had previously undertaken the strategic planning for the project and acted as general planner. The building will be constructed in accordance with the Minergie standard and will serve to expand Leister's production facilities. The challenge of this project is the demanding building site, writes Implenia in a media release. The new building (design: Mozzatti Schlumpf Architekten) with an area of around 13,000 sqm will be added to the existing production facility. Construction will begin in December 2017 and is scheduled for completion in spring 2019.
