Liestal: UBS Sima buys Bücheli shopping centre
The UBS Sima real estate fund acquired the Bücheli Center in Liestal (BL) on November 1, 2017.
The Bücheli Center is located at Büchelistrasse 10 in the old town of Liestal in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. The "most modern shopping center in northwestern Switzerland", according to its own advertising, was opened in March 2013 and, according to earlier media reports, comprises around 10,000 m² of floor space. The main tenant with a long-term lease is Manor AG.
The two upper floors, the first floor and the first basement floor are used as retail space and ancillary commercial areas. The two floors below contain a parking garage with a total of 315 spaces.
The UBS (CH) Property Fund - Swiss Mixed "Sima" invests half in residential buildings and half in commercial buildings (office buildings and commercial buildings), primarily in German-speaking Switzerland. The fund management did not disclose the purchase price for the shopping center.
