Hiag: New lettings in Neuchâtel
Hiag Immobilien Holding AG will renovate the industrial building at 30 rue du Plan in Neuchâtel in 2018. Two long-term rental agreements were signed for the property these days.
After signing two long-term leases with Migros and the Italian restaurant chain Luigia, Hiag will start developing its property in Neuchâtel next year, thus confirming its "development strategy in Western Switzerland", according to its own statement.
At the end of 2014, Hiag had already signed a lease agreement with the canton for the office space (1,600 sqm) and the factory building (3,250 sqm). Now the renovation work for the existing industrial building is pending, the listed real estate company announces. Renovation work will begin in March 2018, and the opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019. Talks with a third tenant for the remaining space (680 sqm) are planned, it says.
Hiag acquired the 11,400 sqm site in Neuchâtel in 2013 and subsequently drew up a development strategy. It is located close to the train station and the city center, in a residential area very well connected to the public transport network. The site development will be continued with the preparation of a neighborhood plan for a residential project, the statement continues.
