According to its own information, the semi-autonomous collective foundation Vita is increasingly investing in the investment group "Living in old age Switzerland". Starting in spring 2018, a mini district will therefore be built with this focus in a central location in Bazenheid. On the 7,000 sqm Spelteriniwiese, Vita is realizing the construction of two multi-family houses and a retirement and care center with an investment volume of around CHF 46 million.

Commercial space will be located on the first floor of the buildings. The Tertianum Group will operate the retirement and care center. In addition to pure living and access to additional services against payment, for example laundry service or window cleaning, "mutual neighborly support in everyday life will be specifically promoted," the collective foundation says. All of Vita's residential properties are designed and implemented according to the LEA standard (LEA = Living Every Age), resulting in age-appropriate apartments.

The Spelteriniwiese in Bazenheid, including the developed project and the contractually committed operator Tertianum, was acquired by the project developer R&B Property Invest AG (Frauenfeld). The sale was accompanied by the Real Estate Advisory team of PwC in Zurich. The Zurich architectural firm Ernst Niklaus Fausch Partner was responsible for the architecture. The acquisition and due diligence were carried out by Zurich IMRE AG.

According to its own information, Vita Collective Foundation is the largest semi-autonomous collective foundation in Switzerland. It has 20,000 affiliated companies with a total of 120,000 insured persons. It was established in 2004 by Zurich as a semi-autonomous collective foundation. Semi-autonomous means that the Vita Joint Foundation is responsible for the investments and Zurich Life Insurance Company Ltd insures the risks.
