The Dixence Resort in Hérémence (VS) will be realised in several stages over the next few years. Work on the first residential building, "Aiguilles Rouges", began in mid-September 2016 and will be completed by the end of 2018. The second apartment building under construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2019. The hotel and thermal baths are expected to open in autumn 2020. According to Investis, construction on the Dixence Resort development project is progressing according to plan, interest in the project is high and marketing is running successfully.

Construction of a Swisspeak Resort in planning

The Dixence Resort is located at an altitude of 1,750 metres and consists of a hotel complex with 60 rooms, a thermal and wellness centre ("Thermes de la Dixence"), a Swisspeak Resort with around 100 apartments exclusively for rent, five individual chalets and five apartment buildings with a total of 58 apartments in condominium ownership. The site, with a total area of 25,000 sqm, has direct access to the Thyon 2000 - Les Collons ski area, which is part of the "4 Vallées" winter sports region.

Investis has now signed a long-term agreement with ValVital (Compagnie Européenne des Bains, France) for the operation and management of the "Thermes de la Dixence" thermal and wellness centre in Hérémence. Furthermore, GoodNight Partners was contracted for the management of the hotel. In addition, an agreement was concluded with the investment company Mountain Resort Real Estate Fund SICAV on the sale of the proportionate land area (three parcels with a total area of 3,574 sqm) in order to realise and operate the planned Swisspeak Resort with around 100 apartments (approx. 500 beds).

Fund invests in further development projects

Mountain Resort Real Estate Fund SICAV is a real estate fund authorised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma) that develops tourist accommodation in the Swiss Alps under the Swisspeak Resort brand. The construction of the properties is undertaken by the asset manager GeFiswiss SA, while the operation under the Swisspeak Resorts brand is carried out by Interhome AG. The fund already manages the Swisspeak Pradas Resort in Brigels (GR) and the Swisspeak Resort in Vercorin (VS). Two further complexes are under construction in Zinal (VS) and Meiringen (BE) and are scheduled to open in 2019. By 2024, the fund should hold around ten resorts, spread across the same number of locations in Switzerland, each with around 500 beds.
