Zurich: Three new tenants for "The Circle
Flughafen Zürich AG has found three new tenants for its major project "The Circle". Microsoft, the coworking provider Spaces and the IT company Abraxas will rent a total of 9,000 m² in the "Headquarters & Offices" module.

Microsoft Switzerland is to relocate its headquarters from Wallisellen to Zurich Airport. The technology group has leased around 3,500 square meters for this purpose. In addition, Microsoft and Flughafen Zürich AG are entering into a technology partnership. This is intended to help the destination "gain new impetus to create an inspiring place of encounters that combines connected life, modern work and new shopping experiences," the airport says. Microsoft Switzerland had commissioned SPG Intercity Zurich / Cushman & Wakefield to conduct a site analysis and negotiate the lease for the new location.
International Workplace Group IWG will occupy a 3,000-square-foot space in "The Circle" with its co-working concept "Spaces." According to the company, it will be the largest shared office in Switzerland. There will be 500 workstations, meeting and workshop rooms and a café on seven floors. So far, "Spaces" is present in Geneva and in Zurich; Contracts for 2,000 sqm of office space in Ambassador House in Zurich North have already been signed. Over the next three years, Spaces plans to operate around ten locations in Switzerland.
The third new tenant in "The Circle", with over 2,500 sqm, is the new Abraxas, which will emerge in April 2018 from the merger of Abraxas Informatik AG and Verwaltungsrechenzentrum St. Gallen. The company plans to merge its Zurich operations into "The Circle" in the course of 2020.
In the meantime, construction work on the major project is progressing according to plan, Flughafen Zürich AG announced. Construction is scheduled for completion at the end of 2019 and opening in 2020.
