Zizers: New use for St. Johannes-Stift
The St. Johannes-Stift in Zizers (GR) is to be put to new use. Until the summer of 2016, the 17th-century castle was still home to a retirement and nursing home, but it is now largely empty.

The foundation board as representative of the owner has been examining various options for a "revival" of the property for some time. The new use should meet with acceptance in the community of Zizers and the Landquart region, it says. However, a reorientation would require high investments, a sum that the owner would not be able to raise.
Kuoni Mueller & Partner Investment from Zurich was commissioned for further clarifications and studies. Dominik Weber, Managing Partner of KM&P, sees a lot of potential in the property. "However, since it is a historic and nationally significant building, the structural possibilities must first be clarified with the monument preservation authorities in the course of a new utilization concept," he says.
