Fraisa site in Oberdorf to be built over
The municipal assembly of Oberdorf (BL) has approved the neighborhood plan for the Fraisa site. The site, which was formerly used for commercial purposes, is to be converted into a residential and commercial zone.
The former Fraisa SA business site is centrally located in Oberdorf, adjacent to the Vordere Frenke and the village center. Since the commercial use was abandoned in 2009, the 9,000 sqm site has been lying fallow.
Now, a development with three four-story structures is to be realized there, creating a total of around 66 apartments. The buildings will be arranged perpendicularly to the Frenke; a public footpath is planned along the watercourse.
Also the Basellandschaftliche Newspaper reports on the project. It says that both owner-occupied and rental apartments are planned, and that a parking garage is also to be built. The investment volume is put at CHF 28 to 30 million. Fraisa will redevelop the site of the industrial wasteland, the funds for which are to come from the proceeds of the land sale.
