Zurich: Coworking provider becomes anchor tenant in PSP property
PSP Swiss Property has found an anchor tenant for its property at Bahnhofplatz 1. IWG International Workplace Group rents around 4,700 sqm with its No18 brand.
According to PSP Swiss Property, a long-term lease agreement has been signed with No18. From the end of 2019, high-quality offices and coworking lounges are to be set up in the premises opposite Zurich's main train station. CBRE Switzerland assisted the real estate company with the lease.
The property has been undergoing total renovation since June 2017 and will continue until the end of 2019. In the neighboring property on Beatenplatz, where the ABC cinema and the Movie restaurant used to be and which is also owned by PSP, the new tenant Ruby Hotels & Resorts will open a hotel with around 210 rooms in early 2021. The former Movie space will be developed as a stand-alone restaurant. The real estate company is convinced that the entire building complex "will become much more attractive as a result of the ongoing renovations and with the new well-known tenants."
IWG has already rented space with various brands in various PSP properties, such as Steinentorberg 8/12 in Basel and Bleicherweg 10 in Zurich. From mid-2018, IWG will also be represented in the Richtistrasse business park in Wallisellen.
