Pratteln: Urban planning study commission for Salina Raurica East
The realization of the new Salina Raurica East quarter in Pratten is taking a step forward. Teams are currently being selected to work out the future use and development structure of the area as part of an urban planning study contract.
The study contract Salina Raurica East is looking for a design for a residential, commercial and service district that would connect the existing residential area to the commercial area via a park, according to Losinger Marazzi. The goal is to turn the area into a well-integrated and mixed neighborhood.
The study contract is therefore intended to produce an overall concept consisting of urban development, land use and open space planning in order to further develop the area in a coordinated manner and within a framework plan. The urban development implementation will then be ensured by individual neighborhood plans, according to a joint statement by Losinger Marazzi, the municipality of Pratteln and the canton of Basel-Landschaft.
This future use and development structure of Salina Raurica East is to be developed from the second half of the year by four interdisciplinary teams, which are currently being selected as part of the pre-qualification process.
