Morges: Foundation stone laid for Quartier des Halles
In Morges (VD), the Quartier des Halles is a new urban district being built near the train station. The foundation stone was laid on June 13.
The large-scale project comprises three new buildings with a total of 261 residential units, 3,950 square meters of retail space and 4,100 square meters of office space. A school, a daycare center and multi-purpose rooms will also be built. The new quarter will also feature a parking garage with 726 parking spaces for cars and60 spaces for motorcycles, as well as a bicycle station with more than 540 spaces. Construction work is scheduled to be completed in spring 2021.
The Quartier des Halles is being built by SBB Immobilien, with HRS Real Estate AG acting as general contractor.
