Val Müstair: La Sassa vacation resort in the planning stage
In Val Müstair, the La Sassa project is planned, a vacation resort with a total of 370 beds.
With the resort La Sassa in Tschierv, the Val Müstair (GR) is to receive a new, year-round accommodation offer. In a first stage according to a report of the Südostschweiz 190 beds will be created in the first stage, 120 in the second, and 60 in the last stage. It will be the first four-star hotel in the region, the report continues. Also planned, according to the report, are a sports store, a specialty store, a spa and wellness area and a public restaurant. The resort will be planned, financed and built by Chur-based Domenig Immobilien AG. The investment volume is put at CHF 30 million.
The project also provides for a feeder lift to the Minschuns ski area and snowmaking for the valley run; both are to be built by Sportanlagen AG Val Müstair and will cost a total of 6 million.
In February 2017, the population approved the overall La Sassa/Minschuns project. The plans are currently open to the public, and the participation period will last until August 4. If everything goes according to plan, the construction of La Sassa can begin as early as next year.
