Implenia realizes two major projects
Implenia has won two major building construction contracts. The construction group will act as total contractor for two complex real estate projects with a contract volume of around CHF 100 million.

In Rheinfelden (AG), Implenia is building 155 rental apartments and 3,000 square meters of commercial space on the former Densa site of the veneer factory on behalf of the client FR Immobilien AG. Designed by architects Luca Selva, the development in the immediate vicinity of the railroad station will be built to the Minergie-P standard and will have a clinker brick façade characteristic of its industrial past, Implenia announced. Work will begin in August 2018 and the apartments should be ready for occupation by the end of 2020.
In Deisswil (BE), Implenia has been awarded the contract for the first stage of the conversion, renovation and new construction of Bernapark on the site of a former cardboard factory, the company has announced. The client, Berna Industrie- und Dienstleistungspark, wants to create a quarter "for modern living and working together" on the site. In addition to apartments and space for businesses and services, a daycare center, day school, market hall, health center, show productions and several restaurants are to be built. The service and commercial areas will provide space for more than 500 jobs on around 24,000 square meters, while the 173 rental apartments will cover a total of 17,500 square meters.
Implenia is responsible for the demolition, seismic retrofitting and conversion of the existing building as well as the new construction. Dismantling will also begin this summer, with the buildings to be handed over in stages in 2020 and 2021.
