AstraZeneca has leased three floors in the Quadrolith office building of Alfred Müller AG in the immediate vicinity of the Baar freeway exit. 120 employees of the Swiss company as well as some regional, oncology and international functions will work from here in the future.

An office concept was implemented that AstraZeneca developed with the Zurich-based interior design firm Büronauten: It includes numerous meeting rooms and various areas specifically for general office work, collaboration, individual concentrated work or team discussions, for example. Employees can choose where they want to work and when.

AstraZeneca chose to remain in the canton of Zug because the canton "has become a thriving center for international pharmaceutical, diagnostics, biotech and other innovative companies," according to its managing director in Switzerland, Andrea Mugan. "In recent years, Swiss universities have become much more important by international standards and therefore supply the market with many university graduates." (ah)
